Question 3

What does Run & Drive status and the presence of keys mean, and what are the risks?

Accepted Answer

This vehicle is rated with a technical running status of " Probably not running " and is recorded as without keys . The "Run & Drive" status means that when the vehicle entered the auction, it was started, shifted into gear and moved under its own power for a short distance. This reduces the risk of severe transmission damage, but does not guarantee the engine's technical condition during prolonged driving. The lack of keys means that a new key will have to be ordered and programmed in Bulgaria (an additional cost of around 150-400 BGN), and the car will be loaded onto a container with a forklift, which increases the risk of minor cosmetic damage to the suspension or floor.

The bidding status is “ Pre-Approval ”. This metric defines the rules of the auction sale. In “Pure Sale”, the car is sold to the highest bidder at the time of auction closing, with no reserve price. In “On Approval”, the seller (usually an insurance company) reserves the right to approve or reject the final price after the bidding closes. In “Minimum Bid”, the car is sold only if the bids exceed the seller’s predetermined minimum reserve price.
